Composting
The Municipality of East Hawkesbury has completed a pilot organic waste recovery program in partnership with Food Cycle Science, using FoodCycler™ technology.
As part of this initiative, 100 FoodCycler™ units were purchased using service delivery funds, then offered to residents at a subsidized price. With a municipal contribution of $125 per unit, residents were able to purchase a $500 FoodCycler for just $175.
Participants were able to keep their units at the end of the project and continue diverting their food waste.
