Budget and Finances
Each year, the Town of East Hawkesbury develops a municipal budget. The budget, one of the Town's most important documents, is a tool that shows in detail how taxes are allocated across the various departments. The financial statements are audited by independent auditors to assess the results of the past year and also to provide an overview of the Town's financial position.
Budget 2022
The council adopted the 2022 budget on Monday, December 13, 2021. The budget calls for a 3% tax increase. This represents $28.44 in 2022 on an average household of $199,000. Our capital projects for the coming year are the replacement of the storm sewer system on Labrosse Street in St-Eugene. The purchase of a new rescue vehicle for the fire department and the launch of a new website next March. See the details of the 2022 budget.
