Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms
In Ontario, a working smoke alarm is required on every floor and outside of every sleeping room. The owner or tenant must install smoke alarms and ensure that they are working properly.
Protect your family and check the batteries and operation of your smoke alarms regularly.
It is important to install a CO alarm in the right place. CO alarms should be in close proximity to all bedrooms so that sleeping people are more likely to hear them if they go off.
